HAQUOSS H1 - PLEISTOPHORA
HAQUOSS H1 - PLEISTOPHORA
Haquoss H1 is a specialized treatment designed to combat Pleistophora, a parasitic infection that primarily affects fish muscles, leading to cyst formation. While particularly dangerous for Neon Tetras (Paracheirodon innesi), it can impact many other species. Factors like stress, loss of appetite, and poor water conditions can increase a fish's vulnerability to this parasite.
Symptoms of Pleistophora Infection
Early recognition of symptoms is crucial for effective treatment. Infected fish typically exhibit:
Discoloration starting centrally and gradually spreading across the body.
Agitated and gyrating swimming patterns.
A noticeably slanted posture.
Spinal deformities.
Progressive weight loss.
Haquoss H1 should be administered as soon as these initial symptoms appear.
Dosage and Application
To effectively treat Pleistophora with Haquoss H1, follow these steps:
Preparation:
Increase Temperature: Gradually raise your aquarium's water temperature to 28°C-30°C.
Discontinue Filtration: If present, remove or discontinue activated carbon filtration.
Aerate Thoroughly: Ensure vigorous aeration of the aquarium water throughout the treatment.
Darken Tank: Keep the aquarium darkened during the entire treatment period.
Note on Water Color: The water will turn slightly blue/green during administration; this is a normal effect of the product.
Product Dosage Schedule:
Initial Doses: On the 1st and 3rd days, dose 1 ml of Haquoss H1 per 25 liters of aquarium water (Note: 1 capful equals 5 ml).
Partial Water Change (Day 4): On the 4th day, perform a 30% partial water change. Add HAQUOSS DM1 – CONDITIONER and HAQUOSS DM2 – ALIVE when replenishing the water.
Repeat Dose (if needed): If the infection persists, repeat the dose on the 5th and 7th days.
Substantial Water Change (Day 10): On the 10th day, perform a substantial partial water change of at least 50%. It's recommended to do this in two separate operations spaced a few hours apart.
Post-Treatment and Maintenance
After completing the treatment course, it's important to restore your aquarium conditions:
Resume Filtration: Reintroduce activated carbon filtration.
Water Replenishment: After the final partial water addition, supplement with HAQUOSS DM1, DM2, H26, and H28 at their recommended doses.
Temperature Adjustment: Gradually bring the aquarium temperature back to its previous, normal values.
