HAQUOSS H19 - CYANO M

HAQUOSS H19 - CYANO M

Cyanobacteria are microscopic organisms naturally present in seawater. Under specific conditions, particularly in the presence of light and excess organic substances (such as leftover food, decaying coral, or deceased fish), they can rapidly multiply. This proliferation leads to the formation of dense algal blankets that can smother and harm corals and invertebrates in your tank.

While cyanobacteria cannot be entirely eliminated from an aquarium, their growth can be effectively controlled. Initial signs often appear as small reddish spots on sand or rocks, quickly developing into thick, expansive mats. Prompt intervention is crucial to prevent widespread infestation. Unaddressed, severe proliferations can be challenging to eradicate and may require ongoing management with solutions like HAQUOSS H19.

Proactive Measures and Initial Intervention
Upon the first appearance of cyanobacteria, it is vital to immediately test your aquarium's pH, KH, NO3 (nitrate), and PO4 (phosphate) levels.

Low pH and KH: If these correlated values are too low, increase the carbonate hardness using Haquoss M12 KH BALANCER or Haquoss KH BUFFER.

High Nitrates and Phosphates: Address elevated nitrate and phosphate levels by placing appropriate Haquoss NITRATOR and Haquoss PHOSPHATOR resins in your filter. Perform partial water changes using Haquoss DM1 CONDITIONER and Haquoss DM2 ALIVE until desired values are achieved.

Temperature and Additives: Lower the aquarium temperature to 23°C. Temporarily suspend the use of regular additives such as calcium, magnesium, and trace elements.

Water Changes and Algae Removal: After stabilizing chemical values, perform two consecutive daily 10% partial water changes. During these changes, use a classic waste vacuum siphon to carefully vacuum existing cyanobacteria patches without disturbing or breaking them apart. Add Haquoss DM1 CONDITIONER and Haquoss DM2 ALIVE after each partial water change.

HAQUOSS H19 Treatment Protocol
Once the chemical parameters are stable and initial water changes are complete, begin treatment with HAQUOSS H19. Continue to monitor and maintain chemical values within optimal ranges. During treatment, reduce aquarium lighting by at least 50%.

Dosage
Using the provided syringe, apply 1ml of HAQUOSS H19 liquid directly onto each remaining cyanobacteria patch. Each milliliter treats approximately 5-6 cm² of surface area.

Important Considerations During Administration
For each daily intervention, do not exceed a maximum of 5ml of product per 25 liters of water.
Turn off the recirculation pump during administration.
Monitor your fish for signs of stress or heavy breathing. If observed, immediately reconnect the recirculation pump and activate any aerators.
Repeat the application 3 to 4 times, every other day, targeting the same affected areas.
Turn off your protein skimmer, UV sterilizer, and ozone system (if present) for at least 6 hours following each dose.

Post-Treatment Recommendations
Upon completion of the treatment cycle, it is recommended to perform a 10-15% partial water change using Haquoss DM1 CONDITIONER and Haquoss DM2 ALIVE. Within 15 minutes of the final treatment, measure pH and KH levels. Should these values drop, use Haquoss M12 KH BALANCER to restore them to correct parameters.

Please note that the attenuation and near-total disappearance of cyanobacteria is a gradual process, and visible effects of the treatment may take up to 15 days.

HAQUOSS H19 is harmless to fish, corals, invertebrates, crustaceans, and beneficial macroalgae.

Important: Do not overdose and do not combine HAQUOSS H19 with other medications.
